Gayla has been privileged to showcase and hone her design skills on many grand hotels. Her focus in recent years has been on applying these skills to create personalized beauty, within a more intimate residential environment, improving the quality of life for her clients. Infusing warmth to an otherwise empty space, elevating the spirit with comfort, beauty and meaning, is her greatest passion.
Lodging & Public Space Design
A good designer is able to excel at capturing any style the client requests, from re-imagining the underwater story of Atlantis, to a woodsy ski lodge; a tropical bungalow or an Indian Palace. She finds her creativity is inspired when working with a variety of project styles. Her approach takes influences and guidance from the surrounding landscape, the regional culture, local art, architecture, history, and travel, while also paying homage to timeless, and classical sophistication.

Born in Texas, Gayla studied Architecture, Art and Interior Design at the University of Texas and her experience working in award-winning interior and architecture firms like Kohn Petersen Fox, Wilson and Associates and BBG&M has developed her refined aesthetic, furniture selections and construction knowledge. She has worked on interior furniture and fabric as well as interior architecture projects for luxury resorts, casinos and hotels all over the world, including:
